Portfolio update July 2019

Hello and welcome, here is my portfolio update July 2019.

What a great month July was! Or was it? I mostly remember being in an oven and sweating like a pig.

Anyways, July was a record breaking month for the blog and saw a huge increase in the number of visitors. That also translated into greater referral income, which by the way quadrupled. Can you believe that? I am still lost for words!
I am sincerely honored to have an audience to write to and exchange ideas with. The FIRE community is an awesome community to be part of.

There’s that. Enough of words, let’s talk in numbers!

My feedback to the returns

In July I invested yet another 370€ to a B2P loan and the exit from Twino is still continuing, 95,06€ still under investments.
The passive income made a small decline because we sold the apartment (property #2), finally!
Will definitely make a post about it and will break the numbers for closer look.

Now I have about 4k cash lying around. What should I do with it?

My total passive income from investments from January 2018 to July 2019:

Mintos

I have a total of 5000 euros invested in Mintos and the platform generated me a total of 58,31€ of interests.
Soon the interest received will be over 1000 euros, what a fantastic milestone!

In July my Mintos Autoinvest invested into loans, which had interest rate at 15%, some even had 16%. Most of them were car loans and some were personal loans. Loans duration varied from 35 months to 57 months.

Nothing much spectacular happened in Mintos, they keep on producing and I keep on receiving!

Envestio

In July I earned a total of 6,81€ of interest in Envestio.

Only 2 projects launched in July, luckily I didn’t even have spare cash on the account, so no problems there. But hopefully they can bring back those juicy projects with high interest rates.

As they say in their Facebook post, they are satisfied with their results, but it is just the beginning. They have big plans for Europe and they prognose substantial growth.

Crowdestate

Just another classic month at Crowdestate – real estate crowdfunding platform. Earned a hefty 2,99€ of interest. One month it spikes, another one like this month was, it fades.
August, maybe? Should bounce back well.

B2P loans

Nothing much to add, the business to peers loan have been going well and the interests keep on coming!

Real-estate

Apartment #1 Income 16,05€. So far no problems with the apartment nor the rent payments. Overall a superb tenant!

Private real-estate As I mentioned, in November, I sold the private real-estate apartment.

Apartment #2 – SOLD at the end of July 2019. (Will make a post about the figures in the near future)

Bondora

In June 2018, I decided to exit from Bondora. A year has gone by and I don’t even miss Bondora!

It was the first platform I started investing in with just 10.1€ being the first deposit. Crazy right? It has served me well, even though I made lots of rookie mistakes, I am exiting with positive vibes. Farewell Bondora!

Exited from Bondora with a loss of 65,57€!

Omaraha

Omaraha’s company account interests 87,11€ and loss from sold loans 17,24€. Which means the profit was 69,87€.

Under private account there was a total of 5,21€ of profit and 1,71€ loss from sold loans, which means a total of 73,37€ of profit from Omaraha.

Twino

EXIT from Twino continues. The portfolio size is slowly but surely decreasing. By the end of July, I have a little over 95,06€ of investments left on my Twino accounts. As I’ve mentioned before, I will exit with my companies accounts, but will still be investing with my private account. So you should be expecting the Twino income to drop down close to 1€ a month.

UpSteam Syndicate

In October, I made a small investment of 340€ at Funderbeam into the company called UpSteam. As of July 2019, my shares are worth 816€.Upsteam doing great at funderbeam, 31th july update 2019

No matter the size, small or big. UpSteam will clean it!

Another great publication in the news – https://auto.geenius.ee/rubriik/uudis/eesti-autopesufirma-pakub-nuud-veeta-pesu-mille-varustus-mahu-seljakotti/

In my opinion, UpSteam has a great marketing team, the key is to be ACTIVE and TRENDY!
Constant Facebook posts, news articles, different blog collaborations, giveaways etc. That’s how it is done and that’s how the people want it. Easy as that.

The only negative thing I saw on their website is that they don’t post enough in their blog, last update July 2019 and before that more than 2 years ago. What’s up with that @UpSteam?

But for example, VIP tickets to Rally Estonia giveaway, who in the world doesn’t want VIP tickets to the country’s most wanted rally event? Especially having Ott Tänak and Martin Järveoja (national heroes) at the starting list!
That single post had 1.2k comments, 1.8k shares and close to 800 likes. Not bad, eh?

Bikeep Syndicate

In March 2019, I invested 500€ into Bikeep through Funderbeam. As of 31th July the investment was worth 475€.

I’m pretty sure that I am not the only one, who has noticed that there are a “few” electric scooters driving around the city. A lot of them are rentals, but there are also privately owned e-scoots.

But where to park them? Don’t worry, Bikeep got you covered!
They also mentioned in their FB post that they are currently developing a special system for the e-scooters.

Losses

18,95€ of loss at the P2P site Omaraha. A little bit less than in June. Overall a pretty average loss from sold loans at Omaraha. Nothing to worry about.

Blog income

In June I decided to put the blog income and affiliate comissions into the same graph, hence the numbers are a bit bigger now.

In July, the blog and affiliate comissions generated 412,54€, which is the second highest income EVER! I’m pretty sure I will never break May 2018, but I can try, right?!

My blog’s main reason is to log my own investments and share/receive information with all of you.
But if you wish to create an account and invest on the same platforms as I. Check the referral links throughout my blog which usually provide bonuses.

Remember, investing is marathon not a sprint, every single cent counts!

Blog income in euros july 2019

I display two different incomes under the blog income. One is referral income from TargetCircle and the other one is affiliate income from Bonusway.
Since this blog is mostly dedicated to finance and logging my financial freedom journey, the TargetCircle referral links usually earn me a lot more than Bonusway affiliate links.

Yet, I would like to introduce you all to Bonusway – I use it to save money while e-shopping or booking ONLINE. Read more at https://financefreedom.eu/save-money-when-e-shopping-or-booking-online/

A really simple way to save up money, especially on housing and from them random orders on AliExpress … (You know what I mean, we’ve all done it!)

Blog stats for July 2019

What can I say? A RECORD-BREAKING JULY!

A total of 3359 (+52,26%) visitors visited my blog and had a total of 7384 (+53,61%) views. Amazing!

Google Analytics queries/keywords stats about the blog

In July 2019, I had a total of 540 (+126) keywords shown at Google. Recorded a total of 324 clicks and 10 651 impressions, which calculates to a 3,04% CTR.

    1. Hey Janis!
To be honest, no clue. I think someone just invested a lot through my referral link. I can only guess.

I’ve been blogging since 2016. At first I blogged in my native language at https://eluolust.wordpress.com/
I also did a post about that amazing number (in Estonian) – https://eluolust.wordpress.com/2018/05/28/180-000e-investeering-labi-minu-soovituskoodi/

To sum up the post: In May 2018 I received over 1800€+ of referral income from one transaction. As Mintos pays out 1% of the invested sum. I estimate that an anonymous Estonian investor invested over 180 000€ through my referral link to Mintos.
      It’s really mind boggling!

  1. How do you earn with Target Circle? Mind sharing more information about that?

    Best Regards,
    Elmar

    1. Hey Invest Hero!
It’s pretty simple, just sign up to their affiliate program and start refferring.
They provide you with links and banners, which you can use in your blog to promote, for example different P2P platforms and much more!
I mostly promote the sites which I am also invested in.

I checked your blog and got a question for you, what or who got you into investing? 🙂

      Also, thank you for commenting!

      1. Can’t exactly remember but I probably just stumbled upon one of these personal finance blogs and realized that the few euros I have lying around can help me understand finance and how money works better 🙂

PS: I visit Tallinn every once in a while and I believe my monthly income from P2P would allow me to get a beer there sometime, we should do it 😀

    1. Hey Viking! 😀
If you don’t mind me asking, what part of Scandinavia are you exactly from?

Will definitely keep these coming! And thank you for following me, did the same to you 😉

    1. Hey Bot!
All this hard work put into this blog has to start paying off at some point, right? 😀
But it ain’t even close to the bigger financial blogs I follow. For example Ryan Robinson at https://www.ryrob.com/blog-income-report-july-2019/
Ryan posts super quality content on his blog and I read most of the articles he publishes. And for obvious reasons, most of his content is on how to get bigger and better in blogging. How to grow audience and much more. I truly recommend you to take a deeper look!

  2. Hi FF,
It’s great to see that you have posed your google analytics – I haven’t really seen anyone else do that. It’s another one of those things to keep you accountable for SEO and driving people to your blog!
Congrats on the blogs profit as well, as you say, every cent counts!
    Keep it up.
    Matt

    1. Hey Matt!
I thought the GA data would be interesting for me and the readers to follow, especially since the blog is slowly but surely developing new content.
Thank you for the kind words and best wishes to you also!

  3. Impressive blog income growth in the recent months! Are you using google adsense as well? How are your results with that?

    1. Hey Marko!
Just to clarify, do you mean AdSense or AdWords?
AdSense no (to make money with ads in my blog). AdWords yes (to promote myself on Google).

For now, I am thinking that I should not run random ads on the blog, I wish to keep the blog clean and slick.
Also, I don’t have that big amount of readers yet and I wish not to spook the older and the newer readers away by displaying huge ads in their faces.

Thanks for the great question and I hope to see you around!
